Maderacre is the developer of 3 REDD+ projects, based in the conservation of more than 300,000 hectares of Amazon Rainforests in Madre de Dios. The projects conserve forests, their biodiversity and promote sustainable development.
The Madre de Dios Amazon REDD Project, Verra ID 844, is a project that began in 2009. This Project will avoid emissions from deforestation of 22 million CO2tons until 2046. The Tahuamanu Amazon REDD Project, Verra ID 2502, operates since 2017. The 2 REDD+ projects are validated by Verra, under the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and Climate Community and Biodiversity standards (CCB), under the Gold category, the highest of its kind.
The third Project, the Iñapari Amazon REDD Project, operating from 2022, is in the development stage in Verra.
Maderacre is also in the design stage of a Biochar Project, under the Puro Earth Standard. And it is in the design stage of an IFM project in Sepahua, Ucayali, where it will have more than 2,400 beneficiaries.
